Music Play is a a rich musical environment for children 0~3 and their caregivers in which music development is fostered through play. Parents and children are guided to engage in and with music intentionally through songs, rhythm chants and movement. Music Play is a curriculum that is based on the Music Learning Theory by Edwin E. Gordon.

What you will find in the class
Children are guided through the preparatory stages of music learning (acculturation, imitation and assimilation) that will prepare them for the more structured music learning at age 4 or 5.
- singing with movement in various different tonalities beyond major and minor
- rhythm chanting with movement of duple, triple and uneven meter
- songs and chants with and without words (mostly without for a important reasons)
- guidance for parents for further Music Play application at home

Date: July 6 to August 10, 2021
Time: Every Tuesday from 10-10:20am
Location: Online through Zoom (You will receive the link Monday July 5th, the day before the 1st class.)
Cost: $25 or FREE if this is the first time you & your child is participating in our Music Play class

- 6 weeks of online Music Play classes and audio recording of songs & rhythm chants to use at home
